City Gates
Buying a city gate is not cheap, especially if you build it in a province with a city already. If you have the budget to invest in a city gate you have a few options in which to buy a city gate. A city gate can be bought from the city you’ve conquered with a certain amount of gold.
If you have conquered a city that isn’t the capital you will have to pay in order to move in your city gates into your capital. The amount of gold you have depends on the amount of gold you have in the city you conquer. The higher the amount of gold the more city gates you can purchase. If you are still in the middle of the game and have less gold then you will have to pay a big price. The amounts of gold to buy each gate can be found below.
More gold will get you more gates. However, more gold means more gold to pay for gates.

You can move all the gates from your capital to another city, provided you can pay the gold that is required. This is the same as any other game where you move a gate around.
After you build a city gate there is an icon in the city you will be able to view the cost of the city gate.
Your first city gate will be the basic gate. When you upgrade your gates you will be able to view how much of a bonus it will give you.
